Statistics tell us that roughly 80% of us will experience back pain at some point in our lives. We tend to focus on the physical problems that are wrong: bulging disc, tight muscles, irritated nerve, etc. We can treat these problems and see improvement but in some people the pain becomes chronic and lasts for months or years. In these cases we need to consider other factors that aren't physical, such as emotional/psychological factors or ongoing stressors.
